Selected Experience - Organisation and Merger Integration
Merger Integration. For the merger of two Asian transport operators, led combined consulting and client teams identifying and quantifying synergies, developing organizational options, and preparing implementation plans.Decentralisation. Led a consulting and client team to reorganise a railway's headquarters and regions to decentralise activities, reduce overhead costs, and improve customer focus.
Corporate Centre. Advised a shipping and logistics company on the appropriate split of responsibilities between its corporate centre and business units, to meet changing strategic priorities.
Merger Integration. Advised on the merger of the European operations of two transport equipment manufacturers. The work included process mapping and development of alternative organizational models; working with senior management teams to decide the new structure; and detailing the agreed structure in organization charts, roles and responsibilities, and processes.
Organising for customer focus. Advised a rail operator on how to restructure its organization to achieve greater customer focus. The work included re-aligning both customer-facing operations and maintenance/support functions.
Merger Integration. For the merger of two European downstream oil businesses, led a consulting team working with management from both companies to integrate processes, practices and organization structure.
